The icon of extreme gravel is reborn! The WIDE 2.0 returns with more aero, more cargo and even more tyre.
For those who've not ridden an OPEN WIDE before, this is THE bike for when the terrain gets really gnarly to keep you fast, comfortable and in control. It is made for tyres from 50mm up to a massive 66mm wide so you can do anything from the toughest races to extreme bike packing.
It's even lighter than the previous generation despite the addition of storage and taking greater tire widths meaning it looks like a mean mountain bike with drop bars, but rides more like an agile road bike. A magic trick OPEN have always been the masters of.
Choose from Platinum Grey or go custom with a RTTP raw carbon frame with your choice of any paint and logo colours. Painting we arrange through Open for a charge of between €700 - €1,000 depending on your choice of colours.
The bike is available to pre-order now with the first bikes delivering late June (Platinum Grey in sizes M & L only to start with). Other sizes and Ready to Paint carbon frames will deliver a little later.
Notes on specification:
- The frameset includes frame, fork, seatpost and an integrated one-piece but adjustable bar/stem which we will contact you to discuss to ensure the perfect fit.
- The new WIDE is made in Portugal and is compatible with all modern SRAM, Shimano and Campagnolo 1x groupsets.
- It features future proof design details such as the new universal UDH hanger, a T47 threaded bottom bracket and internal routing with easy cockpit adjustments.
- The AC/DC+ fork (stands for Aero Cargo Double Combo!) is full aero in design plus cargo slots. Strap bags directly to the fork legs, no cage required. Prefer a cage for water bottles or specific cargo? Use the included cargo barrels.
